March 2007:
Gidget gave birth on her due date of March 10th 2007!  We are proud to announce her "TWIN" girls.  They are lovely, pretty heads, nice deep color, and well taken care of.  What fun to have just two puppies, they will be going and doing lots before one goes home with Eric and Jackie, and one stays with us!
Gidget & Cosmo's Puppies
Jak took Cosmo and Moxie to NE March 31st & April 1st to the NVC Hunt Test, Cosmo picked up another leg on his Junior Hunter with great scores and Moxie got socialized with horses for the first time, she had nice runs.
Moxie turns 1 year March 31st
April & May 2007:
We spent our Spring raising up the pups and just plain having fun with them, two puppies is a blast!  We have also been working on the "ranch manor" getting ready for the relatives to come for Jak's retirement bash the end of May!!  A great time for socializing our new Brinklee and the big dogs to party with the family!
June 2007:
June of '07 will go down in our memories as a very sad time.  We said our last Good Byes to both Vivienne and her mother Echo.  Echo was fortunate to have had 14 very good long years with us, and we loved every day.

What can be said of loosing such a fine, kind and loving girl like Vivienne so young, other than the pain will take a long, long time to come to terms with.  Of course they are missed by all their "kids" and best friends here, it has taken a toll on all of us, including our cats Mickey and Ricki.  Life does go on, we will all recover, and continue to look forward to more bright futures ahead with our Vizsla family.
September 2007:
Summer will soon be coming to an end and the dogs have been enjoying bird work to prepare for the onset of Pheasant season.  So many plans in the fall with hunting and the Vizsla Nationals.  Brinklee will soon be ready to show, Moxie has picked up her first points.  Life is moving on, Greer and Gidget will also be bred this month to Cosmo, in hopes of getting more puppies like Brinklee and her only sibling Jersey.  We have been very pleased with the Gidget & Cosmo girls; their comformation is awesome, movement too, they are hunting fools, with solid points, and you couldn't ask for more outgoing and sweet temperaments. Greer to Cosmo will have equal potential, since Gidget and Greer are litter sisters.

Brinklee went to her first show on Sept. 29th and took Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best Opposite.  We are so proud of her!
Puppies due in Novemeber 2007 ready to go late January 2008!

October 2007:
We have confirmed both Greer and Gidget are pregnant, there are still a couple of puppies not spoken for.

The Vizsla Club Of America held our National Specialty in Omaha NE this year, so only a 3 hour drive.  We had much fun and Brinklee made the cut in 6 to 9 month puppy bitch class, plus she placed 4th in 6 to 9 month Puppy Bitch Sweepstakes!  It was an awesome Nationals, super nice quality entry of Vizslas.

Brinklee & Rosy went to the local Sioux Empire Kennel Club shows on Oct. 27th and 28th, Brinklee took the 3 point major win on Sunday!  We were thrilled, the competition was top notch.  Rosy who is Jakra's Vivid Rose of Tralee went 2nd out of 3 in the Open bitch class and won her Open class on Sunday, this was her first show with us and she is a doll.  Rosy is owned by Bob and Maureen McGough, so while she was visiting with us we got to show her as well.

South Dakota's world reknowned Pheasant season opened with much success, it was a fantastic year for our Pheasant population.  Our dogs know it is hunting season, they go crazy when they hear a shotgun go off scanning the sky for a bird to drop,
November 2007:
November brings much excitement with Gidget and Greer's puppies due.
More great news.

At 3:20 AM, November 22nd, 2007 Greer her Thanksgiving Gift to us, a fine litter, 4 boys and 1 girl.  The Holiday ended with Greer needing a C-Section at 9+PM (18 hours after the arrival of puppy #1) which saved her last puppy.  They are beautiful, dark colored, no white just doing fine!  We are thrilled to be moving past the whelping of the puppies.  Time to watch them grow amazing us again.
The wait is over as Gidget gave birth to 6 healthy puppies on November 16th, 2007.  We are proud of Gidget and Cosmo for once again stamping their "kids" with consistency in type and color.  The Temptation #2 litter of 4 girls and 2 boys have the cute head type we strive for.

December 2007:
After the puppies all settled in, it was time to do more late season hunting.  December and early Jan. proved to be a great time for pheasants.  The cold and snow had them burried deep in the cat tails, tough hunting for the dogs, but tons of excitement too.
